VI Monitor used by MiniTorque Racing to push for Time Attack Title

VI sponsored MiniTorque Racing took part in round 3 of the Time Attack series at Brands Hatch recently and finished third in the FWD Club class. The team is now placed 2nd overall in their class with two rounds remaining, these being at Cadwell Park and Snetterton.

VI Monitor at the MPH Show

Not only will there be line up of precious metal and carbon fibre on show at this years MPH show there will be the VI Monitor there too.

iMotor online magazine compared the EVO FQ-400 against the Nissan GT-R and used VI Monitor test 'G' generated and grip through the corners

The iMotor team tested the EVO FQ-400 against the Nissan GT-R in various tests; 0-100-0, handling, etc. One of those tests was see how much "G" each would pull in cornering. The G is being read by the VI Monitor.

VI Monitor used in Santa Pod Quarter Mile drag and matched Santa Pod's professional timer

There have been some groups that question the accuracy of OBD based engine monitoring and datalogging devices due to the delay in data. VI took the VI Honda Integra DC5 to the infamous Santa Pod Raceway in Northampton for Jap Show 2009 with the sole purpose of proving the sceptics wrong. And prove them wrong we did!! When compared to Santa Pod’s FIA approved official timing gear, the VI Monitors’ standing ¼ mile time was out just 0.06 seconds and 1.37mph on terminal velocity. All that equates to an average variation of less the 1%! So when you can’t get to the strip, you can be sure that VI will be the next best thing.

VI Monitor used in Santa Pod Quarter Mile drag and matched Santa Pod's professional timer

The latest stop on the VI Performance Tour was the legendary Santa Pod Raceway for Jap Show 2009; an extravaganza of modified Japanese metal. The stand was busy through the weekend, with Duncan and Carl offering free diagnostics services to the Scooby Owners Club and Colt CZ Club. Highlight of the weekend was the VI Honda Integra DC5 performing a timing test up the drag strip, pitting VI against Santa Pod’s FIA approved laser timing system – a test that VI passes with flying colours. Next stop in the Performance Tour will be USC in August.

iMotor online magazine road tested the New Vantage v12 and used VI Monitor to verifiy the 0-60 speed

The iMotor team road tested the Aston Martin V12 Vantage. The team want to know how accurate the aclaimed 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds is. They used the VI Monitor to test just that. The test with the VI Monitor showed a 0-60 time of 5.90 seconds but this is due to a massive wheel spin off the start and poor weather conditions.

VI Monitor Worked Just Great in All of the Renaults, Citreons & Peugots

Having setup the evening before next to the drift and stunt area, in a steadily increasing wind, the VI team of Duncan and Carl were delighted to find everything still intact as Sunday morning dawned bright and clear. After a tradition show breakfast at Macy-Ds we set to cleaning the VI Honda Integra, and hoped we wouldn't cause tooo much offence bringing a Jap car to the FCS! A lonely Honda in a sea of Renaults, Citroens & Peugots!

As it turned out everyone had a great time, there was a lot of interest in VI and we even had a local TV crew come round to find out all about VI Monitor.

And by the way VI Monitor worked just great in all those Renaults, Citroens & Peugots.

VI Monitor rolled into Santa Pod Raceway ....

VI rolled into Santa Pod Raceway for the Performance Vauxhall Show put on by the folks at Performance Vauxhall magazine. For the first time in it’s history, PV Show was extended to cover two days instead of the traditional Sunday event. Crowds braved the elements and stuck through the rain and wind on the Saturday and were rewarded on the Sunday by a dry (if not occasionally sunny) afternoon. Track action was limited by the weather, but this meant plenty of attention on the VI stand; attracting the likes of VX-Online owners club and Regal Motorsport.

Red Line magazine put VI Monitor to the test

Davy Lewis, the editor from Red Line magazine, plugged the VI Monitor into their Audi TT and was impressed but the products features and ease of installation. Davy produced a fantastic double page spread on the VI Monitor.

The VI Honda Integra DC5 made a surprise appearance at the Japanese Tuning Show

The VI Honda Integra DC5 made a surprise appearance at the Japanese Tuning Show this weekend at Silverstone. Posting some admirable times during the morning open track session, the Integra then parked up at the far end of the trade village giving consumers an up-close and personal look at the car and demonstrations of the VI Monitor.

VI Monitor at Cologne Car and Sound - at the Koelnmesse, 15 to 19 April '09

The Cologne Car and Sound Show was the European launch for VI Monitor. Our German distributor Audiotechnik Dietz, www.dietzshop.biz kindly offered us space on their stand for VI Monitor, as well as giving us pride of place in their new tuning and styling catalogue.

Whilst the show is more of a car audio and electronics show and it had moved from its old home at Sinsheim, we were kept busy throughout demonstrating VI Monitor to people from all across Europe. The guys at Dietz made us very welcome, and besides you can't beat the local Cologne food and speciality beers!

VI Monitor on the Big Screen at Gadget Show Live

A slightly more sober event for the VI team when compared to the roar of an on-track show; VI stops at the NEC arena in Birmingham for the inaugural Gadget Show Live. Taking the success of the Channel Five TV programme, Gadget Show Live aimed to bring to bring together the best and brightest techie innovations for the public to play with. VI was on-hand giving demonstrations of the recently released VI Monitor to an enthusiastic audience eager to get the coolest in-car gadget. The brand new product attracted the attention of BBC Radio London and even a film crew from Tiscali UK who recorded a live demonstration with our very own Nathan Pearce.

VI Monitors First Public Appearance

In it’s first public appearance, VI launches to the world at the International Styling and Tuning Show at Donnington Park. Taking up residence in one of the pit lane garages soon to be residence to any number of Formula One race teams, VI shows it’s stuff to the Max Power generation. Highlight of the weekend was the inaugural outing of the VI Honda Integra DC5 ‘round the legendary GP circuit providing potential dealers first-hand experience of VI in a racing environment.
